DMCA Policy

Datastory respects intellectual property rights and responds to valid copyright infringement notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content on our platform infringes your copyright, please send a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent with the following information:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
  3. Identification of the infringing material and its location on our platform
  4. Your contact information (address, phone, email)
  5. A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized
  6. A statement that the information is accurate and you're authorized to act

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was wrongly removed, you may submit a counter-notification containing the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, phone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where you live (or if outside the U.S., that you consent to jurisdiction in any district where we may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the party that submitted the original DMCA notice

We will process valid counter-notifications according to DMCA procedures.

Repeat Infringers

We maintain a policy to terminate, in appropriate circumstances, accounts of users who are determined to be repeat copyright infringers. A “repeat infringer” is generally defined as a user who has been the subject of two or more valid DMCA notices within a 12-month period.

This policy applies to copyright infringement claims under U.S. law. For users in the EU/EEA, copyright complaints will be handled in accordance with applicable EU and Swedish copyright law. For other jurisdictions, please contact our legal team.
