Daniel Lapidus
Founder and Director, Datastory.org and Datastory Tech
Daniel came to data visualization through medicine. A summer job at the Gapminder Foundation turned into almost four years with Hans Rosling, producing the animated graphics for several of his TED talks and building tools for exploring global development.
Since then he has built data platforms with the Red Cross (IFRC), the Brookings Institution, the UN Statistics Division and Statistics South Africa, won the Nordic Data Journalism Award with colleagues at SVT, and founded Datastory in 2017. He's a full-stack developer too, so a conversation can go from idea to prototype.
